Located in Kadavu Passage, Fiji, King Kong’s Left and Right are two excellent reef break that offer up heavy, fast, barreling rides. The waves here are not easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a coral reef. The right is generally a bit bigger than the left. This is the island where King Kong was filmed, keep an eye out.
What are the best surf conditions for King Kong’s Left/Right?
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or step up as the size increases. this break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is somewhat consistent (6/10) and will be uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Both waves work on all tides.
