Tengirri is a 46ft (14m) power catamaran that was designed and built in Australia in 2004. Shortly afterwards, in April 2005, Tengirri started surf charter operations in Sumatra’s Mentawai Islands and beyond. Since then, she has brought surfers from all walks of life, to the waves of their life.
On one of the strongest, fastest, and safest charters in Indonesia, you will be surfing perfection the morning after your arrival in Padang. Tengirri does majority of travel at night while you sleep, so you wake at a new spot in the morning. That being said, if conditions change you can quickly re-locate to a new spot, especially with the aid of one of the two tenders. The 1st dinghy is a 4.5m 40HP and the 2nd dinghy is a Polycraft 3meter dinghy with Yamaha 15hp. The experienced skipper and crew will get you to the best, most uncrowded waves depending upon current swell and weather conditions. When you are not surfing you are never bored with other activities of fishing, snorkeling or island exploration. Even when doing nothing, you are relaxing in style and relishing in the boat’s luxurious facilities. There is spacious indoor saloon and dining area with flat screen TV, a good library of DVD’s to watch as well as chess, cards, scrabble, dominoes, and a variety of popular board games. For reading there is a large library with latest novels, educational reading and magazines.
With Tengirri, you need 6 people to confirm a charter and the maximum number of guests is 8. Comfortable air conditioned accommodations sleep up to 8 guests in 6 separate cabins: 2 cabins with a double bed in each; 2 cabins with 2 single beds in each; and 2 cabins with 1 single bed in each. If you only have 6 onboard everyone gets their own cabin. The Tengirri is perfect for a private group or for just a few guests happy to share the adventure.
Tengirri is powered by twin 430HP Cummins engines and hits max velocity at 22 knots. However, she is steady and cruising at 15-17 knots. Catamarans are well known for their spacious layout and Tengirri is no exception. She boasts 3 large outdoor deck areas (back-bottom deck, back-top deck, and front of the boat) fully covered from the sun. The platforms are great for relaxing in the spectacular scenic Indian Ocean environment, taking photos, reading, or having a drink.
The Tengirri cuts no corners when it comes to food. For starters, all day everyday is unlimited at your desire, all kinds of fresh fruit, tea, coffee, sodas, juice, and water. Other snacks include chips, chocolate bars and etc. 20 cartons of Bintang Beer is included in the package price. There is a fully equipped bar as well.
You have your quick and light pre-surf breakfast of cereals, toast, jellies and other spreads which is self serve. Later in the morning the cook will prepare a “hot” breakfast like pancakes, omelets or jaffles and you eat to your stomachs content. Typical lunch include fresh ham salad sandwiches, noodles, tacos, and jaffles. Dinner is the main meal of the day. Daily caught fish is prepared and served. Other options include spaghetti, BBQ chicken, curry beef, lasagna, burritos and stir fried veggies. Dinners are accompanied by vegetables, rice and fresh salad. Meals are mostly “all-you-can-eat” and there are usually plenty of leftovers. There are no set meal times. You eat when you are hungry and according to your own surfing schedule.

Bring your USB flash drive, and they will throw an edited video and your photos on for you.
