With a track record second to none, the Aileoita and her crew has been featured in Mentawai and North Sumatra related articles internationally. Fitted with all the amenities of home, Aileoita is a gorgeous 70ft x 15ft Hardwood boat, custom-built in 2002. The back deck is expansive with wrap-around benches and a roof, which is great for hanging out and fishing. The boat has full air conditioning, indoor and outdoor showers, liquid crystal TV, VCR, VCD, iPod-ready stereo, fridge, freezer, radar, depth sounder, GPS, VHF/HF radio, 220V generator, life jackets, flares, EPIRB, first-aid kit, tender and outboard, and a spacious and luxurious living room. She has a cruising speed of 9 – 11 knots and is powered by two 180 HP engines.
The typical trip is 11 days and 12 nights, however, longer or shorter packages are available upon request. The staff on the Aileoita includes the captain, a mechanic, a chef, two deck hands, and a highly qualified surf guide. The maximum number of guests on Aileoita is 10, who sleep in five, two-bed cabins – with six of the beds large enough to sleep couples
The gourmet chef prepares for guests a healthy international mix of food influenced by Japanese, Mexican, Indian, American and Indonesian cuisines. Dine in the comfort of air conditioned, indoor dining table or outside on the covered back deck with wrap around benches.
Outside of surfing, other popular activities, include reading, watching DVDs, napping, and basically chilling out. Trolling from the rear deck, diving, or taking out the surf boat to comb the reef for lunch and dinner is always fun serves as small adventure. Editing photos and video is a good way to relax and pass the hours in transit. Also offered is cultural tours of the island of Siberut.
