Ombak Tujuh, in West Java, means “Seven Waves,” and is not for the timid nor shy. It is a real big wave spot, that can handle up to 20ft (7m). Waves jack abruptly off the coral ledge that juts out of deep water, with nothing stopping the open ocean swells as it hits. Pintail Guns and Step-ups are the call for the extreme elevator drops. The hold downs are of consequence requiring advanced skills. On the bright side, it is never very crowded when big. It is also quite constant.
