Located on the Bukit Peninsula, Bali, Impossibles is a quality left hand reef break that offers up speeding (near impossible?) walls to pump through. The break gets its name from the velocity of the walls, below head high it is pretty much unmakable, but once it gets a bit bigger it slows down enough to allow surfers to speed along. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 500 meters over a coral reef. There are two peaks, the second of which leads to a fatter wall perfect for intermediates or even novices at higher tides.
What are the best surf conditions for Impossibles?
Gets good between overhead and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. this break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally have a crew (6/10). The best winds are from the South and Southwest. The best swells are from the Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year round. Water temperatures range from 29 to 25 year round. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
