Yin Yang or Hithadhoo, is a long, powerful righthander and the most consistent wave in Laamu. The wave starts outside with a nice wall with safe rides in deep water. As the wave bends into the corner, it backs offs for a bit before wrapping into one of the most critical sections in the Maldives. It can produce amazing hollow barrels where guys can get barreled 3 times on a heavy reef.
Although it connects as one wave, ideal conditions are different for the outside and inside sections. Northwest winds blow out the inside wave, while the deep-water outside holds well. Southwest winds chop up the outside while the inside section lights up. You just gotta check it out to see what you have on any given conditions. It breaks from 2 to 12 feet and on any tide.
