More on Maroubra (Sydney)

Maroubra Beach is a pretty consistent break and picks up heaps of swell, it very rarely seems to be completely flat. There are several options to surf here starting at the north and most popular end of the beach is a left-hand reef breaking wave off the rocks that only really works on the bigger swells. Just south from that is the most consistent peak, ‘The Dunny Bowl’ that is a right and left over-sand. Going further south than that are several more peaks down towards the vegetated dunes. Right down at the far south end is a very fickle right-hand reef that breaks off the rocks in south swells.
