Located in Fiji, Fiji Pipe is a world class left hand reef break that as the name suggests does a damn good impression/mixture of Pipeline and Teahupoo on it’s day. The waves here are heavy and require a larger swell to get going. They break for up to 100 meters over a shallow coral bottom. Treat this break with caution, know your limits.
What are the best surf conditions for Fiji Pipe?
Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is somewhat consistent (6/10) and will be uncrowded usually (3/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini all year. Water temperatures stick between 27 and 24. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
